Based on the model of the Indian spring festivals, color festivals have also been celebrated in Europe for a number of years now. Vienna will also be swept up in the craze of colors on 17 May. At the giant color festival on the open-air site of Wien-Ticket.at Arena on the Danube Island, thousands of people celebrate an hourly countdown. At the top of each hour, the party animals throw their bags of color into the air. The sky, the location and the visitors transform into a colorful sea of color.
To show the colors to their best effect, the visitors will preferably wear white clothing. Between the countdowns, DJs and live acts provide a relaxed party mood. The colors are purchased on the festival site itself - visitors are not allowed to bring colors with them. The aim is to ensure that only non-hazardous colors are used.
Lineup: IllSkillz, Schluck den Druck, Eskei83, Bombay Boogie Soundsystem
