Holi Festival of Colours

Festival of Colors in Vienna

Based on the model of the Indian spring festivals, Festivals of Color have also been celebrated in Europe for a number of years now. Vienna will again be swept up in the craze of colors on August 23. The giant festivals "Holi Festival of Colors World Tour" and "Holi Festival of Colors Vienna", which will take place together in Neu Marx, will see thousands of people celebrating to an hourly countdown. At the top of each hour, the party animals throw their bags of colored water into the air. The sky, the location and the visitors are transformed into a vibrant sea of color.

To show the colors to their best effect, it is best if the visitors wear white clothing. Between the countdowns, DJs and live acts provide a relaxed party mood. The colors are purchased on the festival site itself – visitors are not allowed to bring colors with them. The aim is to ensure that only non-hazardous colors are used.
