There are two levels at "Babu" in which you can sit comfortably and enjoy international dishes for a meal. In the evening fine cocktails and an exuberant mood dominates until the wee hours of the morning.
"Babu" is situated in four archways underneath the elevated tracks of the former city rail system (today’s underground). It is one of the many restaurants and bars that have been built into these arches underneath the elevated tracks of the underground, and it offers a good starting point to look at the many establishments on the "Gürtel" (the “belt” road running along the underground and the inner districts of Vienna).
A tip for architecture fans: the city railway, with its approximately 400 arches, was designed by the art nouveau architect Otto Wagner, and 6 stations built by Wagner along the U6 underground line are still in use.
