Coffee and books at "phil"

Café and shop – the two functions of "phil" in Gumpendorfer Strasse – cannot be easily separated. The shop, on its innovatively renovated 140 square meters offers an ever-changing selection of books, DVDs, and LPs.

While sipping an espresso and tasting some delicious snacks on the cozy retro furniture, one can study the sales lists, printed in form of a menu – even the furniture is listed for sale. The cultural offering ranges from "Best Books beyond the 500 pages " to "This Is Hardcore – Evil in Literature." As a complement to the daily program, "phil" also hosts lectures and film evenings.
