Top chefs at the punch stand

The Wärmespender in Resselpark in front of the Church of St. Charles is already an institution. For several years now, the motto here has been "Soup and Soul": During the run-up to Christmas, seven award-winning chefs cook their best soup while well-known Viennese DJs play warming soul music on the turntables. From 23 November to 23 December, the daily changing soup creations will be ladled out again by Vienna's leading gastronomes (e.g. Silvio Nickol from Palais Coburg or Heinz Reitbauer from Steirereck). There is also the classic seasonal punch, tea and hot lemonade. This year, all the proceeds - everyone participates without charging a fee - are going to the "Sonnensegel" project of the Pro Menthe association against the discrimination of mentally ill people.

From 16 November, there will also be a gourmet punch stand in Vienna for the first time. In Sigmund Freud Park, in front of the Votive Church, punch created by Austrian award-winning chefs will be ladled out. Amongst other, Christian Domschitz (Restaurant Vestibül, Vienna), Peter Zinter (Restaurant Vincent, Vienna) and Walter Eselböck (Restaurant Taubenkogel, Schützen) will supply the recipes for creative types of punch, such as damson-chocolate punch and rowanberry-almond punch. The mobile sausage stand of "Hildegard Wurst" will also be there and serve sophisticated hotdog creations, while Viennese DJs play the finest in lounge music.
