Since 2004, Balkan Fever has presented the countries of South-eastern Europe from its unusual musical aspects: from Ethno to Jazz and from Rock to Dancefloor. The festival stands for sophisticated, creative World Music in every possible mix and combination of style.
Amongst the numerous acts, one of the great discoveries of the year can be heard in the Sargfabrik on 3 May: Sormeh. The name of the female trio is the Persian word for eyeliner: powerful and beautiful like their music, which creates a connection between the Balkans and the Orient.
Twelve concerts with musicians from 14 countries are on the program at five event venues: in the jazz club Porgy & Bess, in the Ost Klub, in the Sargfabrik, in Replugged and in the RadioKulturhaus.
