In the domed Kupppelhalle of the Kunsthistorisches Museum , visitors can enjoy the Gerstner Art & Delight buffet each Thursday and the Gerstner Art Brunch on Sundays surrounded by art. Directly opposite, the Natural History Museum offers seasonal shellfish and asparagus. It is a good idea to also book a rooftop tour with a breathtaking view of Vienna during the same visit.
The MAK – the Museum of Applied Arts – also has its own restaurant and café. The Österreicher im MAK takes its name from head chef Helmut Österreicher, who lovingly reinterprets Viennese cuisine. The interior design by the architectural duo Eichinger or Knechtl combines traditional and modern elements.
The upscale Do & Co Albertina restaurant is housed in the same classical palace as Vienna’s largest exhibition hall, the Albertina. It offers not only innovative cuisine, but also a lovely sidewalk café with a view of the Burggarten that can be enjoyed during the warmer months.
In the baroque garden of Liechtenstein museum the "RUBENS Gasthaus" offers classic of the Austrian kitchen and highlights from the kitchen of Liechtenstein.
