Thomas Kirchgrabner: Garish luxury

Thomas Kirchgrabner is the high flier of the Austrian fashion scene. The young, award-winning designer created a furor with his designs for the Life Ball Style Bible 2007 . During the same year he presented his first women's collection for the traditional Viennese fashion house Liska - known mainly for its fur fashion. This daring step was successful: In the meantime the young Viennese designer known for his garish appearance has become chief of design there and is creating not only classic models but also an extravagant line labeled "Liska by Thomas Kirchgrabner".

Lena Hoschek: Style-conscious and daring

Petticoat and punk, dirndl blouses and tattoos - Lena Hoschek has created her very own style for self-confident women. Stars like Kate Perry and Charlotte Roche wear pieces from the collection of the young Austrian who is just as pleased when her dresses and blouses turn up at a farmer's ball. With a focus on a feminine silhouette, fashion by Lena Hoschek is never run of the mill - it is no coincidence that the designer studied under Vivienne Westwood . Every piece has its own individual style, ennobled with lots of loving details. You can see for yourself at her studio in Vienna's Spittelberg area, that the graduate of the Hetzendorf Fashion School opened in October of 2008.

Susanne Bisovsky: Traditional costume re-discovered

Susanne Bisovsky's degree dissertation in Helmut Lang's master's class was considered the best of the year. Since then, Bisovsky has developed an inimitable style, picking up on motifs of traditional costumes and transforming them into couture. In her Viennese atelier she combines folkloric elements with elegance and contrasts them with punk. Her collections then bear fitting names such as Wiener Chic, Mitgift and Trachtenpunk. In addition to designing for her own label she has also already worked for Helmut Lang, J. C. Castelbajac and Kathleen Madden.
