We then discover exquisite tableware in the Court Tableware and Silver Depot. We view the center-piece from Milan, which is almost 30 meters long; the Vermilion Dinner Service, a splendid service for 140 persons; and Empress Sissi's often-used travel service with silver plates.

A few paces from there, in the Schweizerhof (the oldest part of the Imperial Palace, first mentioned in 1279), we find the Secular and Ecclesiastical Treasuries with such treasures as the 1000-year-old Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire, the Burgundian treasury and the treasure of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Here, worldly power, myth, and faith make for a unique combination.
