The new terminal at Vienna Airport is noted for its straightforward architecture and presents itself as spacious, light and friendly. The so-called Check-in 3 will give passengers twice as much space inside the terminal as before. That means shorter check-in times and faster security checks. Giving travelers more time to stroll through the airport's wide range of shops and enjoy the attractive dining outlets.
Comfortable seating areas at the gates, free WiFi with numerous power points in the waiting areas and special family zones offer modern levels of comfort right up to take-off. A large terrace is the perfect place to pass the time and watch the aircraft. Special attention was paid to climate protection throughout the airport building. For example, the double-glazed façade keeps the energy used for the air conditioning to an absolute minimum.
As the new terminal connects seamlessly to the airport's existing check-in areas, there are no longer separate arrival and departure halls. Passengers move from the aircraft through the large hall direct to the car park, the CAT and express train station and the airport buses.

At the new Terminal Check-in 3 at Vienna Airport, professional dancers dance Viennese waltzes to the music of Johann Strauss' waltz "The Blue Danube".
The Austrian Airlines greeted their passengers at the new terminal with the gentle sounds of waltzes and transformed the freshly-laid floor into a dancefloor.
