The new Vienna Journal is now available for download as a free iPad app in German and English. It invites readers on a journey into the worlds of Viennese living. The motto for the whole of 2014 is “The Art of Enjoyment”, with a focus on dancing and partying. New aspects in Vienna will be presented, such as the opening of the Winter Palace of Prince Eugene on Himmelpfortgasse, the “Kunstpassage Karlsplatz”, and the newly finished campus of the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. A separate section is dedicated to the music city of Vienna, and includes an interview with star violinist David Garrett, who thinks Vienna is "wonderful".

Other topics include the "animal" Viennese, inspired by the "baby boom" in Schönbrunn Zoo and the new hammerhead shark tank on the 10th floor in the House of the Sea. Also learn about the typology of coffee or culinary delights from the gardens of Vienna. Shopping fans with an exclusive taste will find the Journal packed with gift ideas for special occasions.

The iPad version of the Vienna Journal has clear and simple navigation for easy operation. The app offers optimized accessibility for visually impaired readers with larger text and a screenreader function. Further features for iPad users include recommendations for art lovers, trendy and classical fans as well as the localization of the relevant locations on integrated maps. The additional image material and videos boost the overall liveliness of the app. Direct, topic-related links connect to further information on Share the Vienna Journal with your friends on Facebook and benefit from the latest tips of the Vienna Tourist Board pages on Facebook.
