The star-studded AIDS-charity event is the most spectacular queer party in Europe and it raises close to a million euros each year for HIV projects. From Federal Chancellor to Hollywood star, they all come to watch the fashion show by one of the world’s super-designers on City Hall Square and to dance the night away. Tickets for the Life Ball are as precious as gold, but the fashion show is free for everyone.

From May 29 to June 2, 2013 the festival "Vienna Fetish Spring" takes place again. Amongst others "Mr. Leather Austria" will be elected then. More details will follow. The event is hosted by the founders of "Vienna in Black".

"Vienna Pride" and the "Rainbow Parade" are the highlights of the gay and lesbian year in Vienna. The "Pride Village" (from 11-16 June 2013 on Heldenplatz) is a tent city that offers a mix of culture, shows, dining, information and parties. The Rainbow Parade (on 15 June 2013) also makes its way along the Vienna Ringstrasse this year and is symbol of tolerance and equality. After the big closing rally, the partying continues in Vienna's clubs into the early hours of the morning.
