バリアフリーの美術鑑賞

ウィーンの美術史博物館に視覚障害者と聴覚障害者を対象とする世界唯一のサービスが導入され、話題を呼んでいます。絵画部門に展示されているルネッサンス時代の３つの名画が3Dのレリーフとなり、触れて鑑賞できる作品となったのです。
ラ ファエロの「牧場の聖母」、アルブレヒト・デューラーの「聖母子像」、ジャン・フーケの「宮廷道化師ゴネッラ」が、高解像度の写真から立体化され、作品の 構図や数多くの細部を紹介しています。加えて点字パンフレットと美術専門ガイドが、これら名作に関する興味深い情報の数々を提供します。

ベルヴェデーレ上宮では、フランツ・クサヴァー・メッサーシュミットの名高い「キャラクター彫刻」をテーマに、詳細な解説を加えた、触覚による美術鑑賞ガイドツアーが実施されています。オーストリア民俗博物館では、弱視や全盲の障害者を対象として「農村生活と夏の避暑地」をテーマに、所蔵品のハイライトを紹介しています。これらの展示品は木製あるいは陶磁器で、触れてみることができます。また、旧市街の古代ローマ博物館にも、視覚障害者が触れられる出土品が展示されています。
聴覚障害者のためには、シェーンブルン宮殿、ベルヴェデーレ上宮、古代ローマ博物館で、オーストリアの手話によるマルチメディア・ガイドが実施されています。
