abc Educational Center

To begin with, the abc Educational Center only offered student courses in Latin and Ancient Greek. Nowadays, the institute also offers courses in "living" languages - German, English and Italian. Small groups and personal advice enable successful learning. Beginner and advanced courses are available to choose from, which can be attended as intensive training program or evening courses.

Actilingua Academy

Year-round courses for adults and students aged 16 and over, summer courses for students aged 12-19. Accommodation in the school’s own facilities, family accommodations and student dormitories. Courses include “German & Music”, German for careers and University primers.

Alingua Concordis

The family-run language school focuses on small groups and individual training. Each course, from beginner to Premium can be booked as group or individual tuition. Once a week a voluntary test is offered in order to obtain a performance review. All teachers are native speakers of German and have a lot of experience of teaching German as a foreign language.

Deutschothek

The Deutschothek offers intensive, evening and conversational courses as well as courses in business German, grammar and perfecting the language. The institute prefers small group sizes with a maximum of 12 participants in order to address individual needs as ideally as possible. Consultations can be held in English, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Slovak, Polish, Dutch or Hungarian. If you would like to attend a course, but don't live in Vienna, the language school offers online-classes with live teaching. Free cultural programs are offered so that you can get to know Vienna better.

Dialog - Der Sprachcampus

DIALOG – DER SPRACHCAMPUS offers active intensive courses, evening courses, conversation courses, exam preparation, one-to-one trainings and individual company courses for German at Mariahilfer Straße. eloquent Language Institute

The language school's motto is "We bring people together" - the focus is on living language. A personal chat is followed by a language assessment; learning achievements are also documented. Individual training is offered in addition to courses for groups and companies. The learned language skills can be used in a language café. IFU Sprachschulung (language training institute)

IFU Sprachschulung specializes in top-quality and entertaining German lessons, and offers various courses for small groups (up to max. 12 people). These cover intensive, evening and weekend courses, and are held by DaF/DaZ-certified trainers. The courses are suitable for adults of all nationalities – whether for studying, working or sitting an international German examination.

German Courses at Internationales Kulturinstitut, Vienna (IKI)

The IKI Language School was founded in 1981 and specialized in German as a foreign language. Programs are offered in conjunction with international institutions. German is taught in groups of up to 15 participants, in accordance with the scheme set out by the Council of Europe. The aim is to gain a strong command of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The lessons focus on communication. You can also take exams for the Austrian Language Diploma (Österreichische Sprachdiplom - ÖSD) at the IKI. The conducting of integration courses is certified by the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF). The teachers are all native German speakers and come from an academic background (studying languages or teacher training).

German courses at the University of Vienna

Courses of varying intensity, at various times of day with international participants on the University Campus in the center of Vienna, orientation to the levels of the "Common European Reference Framework for Languages", examination center for the Austrian Language Diploma (ÖSD) and the Certificate of German (ZD); course certificate of level B2/2 replaces the supplemental examination in German at the University of Vienna and a number of other universities. INNES Institute Vienna

INNES offers intensive, semester, and specialized language courses for international students, academics, and professionals. All teachers have a linguistic or education background in teaching German as a foreign language. In addition to challenging students in a professional environment, teachers are also adept at supporting students' individual learning needs. INNES Institute Vienna is a certified ÖSD examination center (Austrian Language Diploma) and ÖSD examinations are held on a regular basis.

Learn Quick

The Learn Quick language school offers German courses using the "German direct method". This has been shown to achieve rapid learning success. The teaching method is based on rapid question-answer interaction between trainer and (all!) participants - who answer in coherent sentences after just one hour. The course is divided into 8 levels ranging from basic to perfection. Students can join the program at any time.

LOQUI Language and Education Institute

Learning a new language does not have to be a "boring" or "dry" affair. The experience language courses of LOQUI combine learning with pleasant aspects. Ostarrichi Sprachzentrum

Crash courses at the Ostarrichi Sprachzentrum will help you to spontaneously brush up on your German skills. After a free and detailed classification of your ability, you may begin with the course. The crash courses start each Monday (including during vacations), as a group or individual course. If you would prefer intensive training, there is a long-term language course which can be completed upon request with certified assessments. If you require childcare, let us know when booking.

Sprachschule Aktiv Wien

The centrally located Sprachschule Aktiv in Vienna offers a broad range of language courses but specializes in German language instruction. It offers intensive and evening classes as well as private tutoring. Class sizes are kept small with a maximum of 10 students and include organized excursions and extracurricular activities. Accommodation can be booked in conjunction with language courses. The school offers a free hour-long trial session.

The language school Aktiv Wien offers preparation courses for the ÖIF (Austrian Integration Fund) or ÖSD (Austrian Language Diploma) exams and is a certified exam center where you can take the ÖIF exam.
