Stadtkind Restaurant
© Café Stadtkind

The Stadtkind is instantly inviting: Large glass façades afford a view of the interior furnished with Roland Rainer chairs, pale birch wood on the walls and an illuminated artwork behind the bar. The large windows open right up onto the outdoor dining area in summer. The blend of café, bar and restaurant is divided over two levels into smoking and non-smoking areas.

Late risers can order breakfast in the Stadtkind all day long, but the regular menu is also worth a look. The focus is on small, light dishes, snacks, pasta and salads. As far as the drinks go, the operators place much value on organic origins. Especially the coffee, which is offered here in the form of a special Stadtkind roasting. The special roasting of the organic Stadtkind coffee is also available to buy. The name "Stadtkind" is a reference to a poem by Anton Wildgans, who spent a lot of time in a coffeehouse that used to occupy this site.
