Elegant Viennese watches with tradition

Emperor Franz Joseph, Empress Sisi, Sigmund Freud – at one time they were all among the exclusive clientele of Carl Suchy & Söhne. The watch manufactory based in Vienna and Prague was established in 1822 and soon became an official purveyor to the Imperial and Royal Court. Even in those days, the brand represented timeless Viennese design combined with traditional Swiss craftsmanship. After the monarchy came to an end, the brand disappeared, but is now available again.

Every Carl Suchy & Söhne collection stands out because of its characteristic features. The flagship model, the Waltz N°1, inspired by the minimalist aesthetics of the celebrated architect and pioneer of Viennese Modernism, Adolf Loos, fascinates with a rotating seconds disk that beats to the rhythm of the Viennese waltz and has a pattern that closes every full minute in perfect synchronization with the dial.

The latest model, the sporty and elegant Belvedere, not only catches the eye with its expressive stainless steel case, but also surprises with a changing date window – the “Jumping Date” – which changes the appearance of the watch every 24 hours. The Table Waltz, which is made from scratch in Austria, impresses with its facet-cut glass on the front and back, which creates a visible stage for the artistic floating internal rod mechanism. Carl Suchy & Söhne marked its 200th anniversary by launching the Table Waltz Jubilee, another highlight in the history of the iconic Austrian brand.

The watches can be purchased exclusively by appointment in the Carl Suchy & Söhne showroom at Prinz-Eugen-Straße 48 (appointments can be arranged by emailing office@carlsuchy.com or calling +43 660 75 24 331) or from the listed sales partners:
