Club Vie i Pee
Right next door to the Pratersauna, which focuses on electronic music, there is now also a hip-hop club. The club is cheekily called “Vie i Pee”, the name permitting several interpretations simultaneously. Up to 500 guests can really let their hair down in the new club in the Prater to the sounds of hip-hop, rap, soul, funk, jazz and R'n'B. Musical acts are not announced in advance. Even when superstars appear, the guests only find out about it at the time.
Anyone who fancies a bite to eat during the long party nights can boost their energy in the club at a sumptuous heuriger buffet, which serves Viennese treats such as 'blunzen', 'backhendl' and 'schnitzel'. In the summer, there's also a garden with lounge furniture, bunkbeds and a spacious wooden terrace.
Exhibition of Street Art
In his design for the Vie i Pee, owner Martin Ho, who is also an art collector and gallerist, opted for artworks that make reference to the street art scene. Guests can look forward to an exhibition of skateboards with designs by renowned artists such as Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Terry Richardson and ROA. Unique art installations are created out of cult pieces of street art such as the Nike Jordan One or the Mountain Hat of Pharrell Williams.
Relations with the Pratersauna next door are good. There is even a connecting corridor in the toilets which is opened during special events to allow visitors to enjoy the different musical offerings of both clubs.
