Lomography Embassy Shop Vienna
The Lomography Embassy Shop Vienna on Kettenbrückengasse, right next to Vienna's Naschmarkt, could be described as the heart of the Lomo movement. Because the cult movement surrounding the Lomo-Compact – a trashy Russian camera – began in Vienna, and the Lomographic Society operates from here around the entire world. Lomography means: the photos are "shot from the hip" and are allowed to be slightly out of focus.
Whether black Russian Original-Lomo, Action or Super-Sampler – the new Lomography Embassy Shop Vienna has all sorts of cult cameras plus accessories. The shop also has selected design pieces (such as the chic bags by Austrian designer Eva Blut), small works of art and humorous knick-knacks from around the world. Exhibitions and workshops are also organized here.
