Vienna Jewellery Days
From 7 to 11 November, Austrian and international jewelry creators display their works at a total of 28 venues during the Vienna Jewellery Days. The items range from innovative jewelry and object art via upcycling and recycling design to 3D jewelry, horn jewelry and the presentation of current jewelry collections in traditional gold and silver-working techniques. The show starts on 7 November with an event in the Columned Hall of the MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art. Ten international jewelry designers selected by a jury present their contemporary works here until 12 November.
Exhibitions, tours & workshops
During the Schmuck.Nacht (Jewelry.Night) on 8 November, jewelry makers will show their latest works in group exhibitions and solo presentations at galleries, museums, educational institutions and stores. Interested visitors can go on tours under the banner "Sich.Schmücken" (Adorn.Yourself) for an overview of the sheer variety of contemporary jewelry. Workshops on various jewelry techniques are also offered. Lectures and discussions round out the offering at this year's Wiener Schmucktage.
