Fashion and design to shop for

Two design fairs in Vienna offer lots of space to shop and browse this spring. Sustainability, handicraft, quality, and local products are becoming increasingly important. This can also be seen in the offering at the Edelstoff Design Market and the Feschmarkt.

The Edelstoff Design Market presents international and Austrian design highlights again in the Marx Halle at the end of May. There's enough space for everyone on 8,000 m². 150 young labels and small manufactories from Austria and the neighboring countries are represented on the market with their accessories, fashion, jewelry, product design, and art. On sale are mostly sophisticated creations by independent labels, which are otherwise unavailable from regular retailers. Hand-made, produced in limited numbers, and sustainable.

Take a relaxed stroll around and enjoy everything to DJ sounds in the background. If all that shopping makes you hungry, you'll also get your money's worth here: the Edelstoff design market is accompanied on the culinary front by a wide range of street food providers

At the Feschmarkt in the Ottakringer Brewery at the beginning of June, no fewer than 240 start-ups, next-generation designers, and small-scale producers will line up to show the full bandwidth of creative work: art, product design, furniture, fashion, kids design, jewelry, stationery, vintage, delicatessen, as well as food and drink (yes – that's also art!).

Access to the design markets is possible for tested, recovered and vaccinated people. FFP2 masks and a hygiene plan are a matter of course.
