Ponyhof

The Ponyhof is an experimentation space for the Viennese club scene. The music played is a mix of techno and electronic, on some evenings also hip hop and soul – and deliberately not at full volume. People take to the dancefloor, while guests can also chat with one another in the cozy club. The concept works: Admission prices in the single-digit range, a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination and the ban on taking photos are well received on the scene. That's why not only music events are held here. Art exhibitions, socio-cultural discourse and regular get-togethers also make the Ponyhof a meeting point of the community.

It gets its name from the life-sized, white plastic horse perched on a platform next to the dancefloor. Although, due to the psychedelic visuals that are projected onto the animal, there's no longer any question of it being a white horse. Green laser lights create a club atmosphere, and if you get tired from all the dancing you can take a rest on the leather furniture. Co-founder Laurent Koepp fittingly describes the Ponyhof:

Some say club, others say bar. A horse is a club and we are a pony.
