Christmas market in Türkenschanzpark

November 11 – December 23, 2022
Mo-Fr 3.00 pm – 10.00 pm; Sa, Su and hols. 12.00 noon – 10.00 pm

A quiet park atmosphere with a Christmas touch is offered by the Christmas market in Türkenschanzpark. Right by the "Turkish fountain", you'll find food and handicrafts such as glassblowers, jewelry and much more besides. The program for children includes the charity gingerbread workshop on the weekends. On Sundays, there's brass music and gypsy jazz.

Christmas exhibition in the Hirschstetten Botanical Gardens

November 17 – December 23, 2022
Th-Su 10.00 am – 8.00 pm

Year after year, the Hirschstetten Botanical Gardens attract visitors with special Advent markets. At this year's children's Christmas exhibition in the heated greenhouses, the motto is "Christmas around the World". On site is the traditional Christmas market as well as the "Natürlich-Christkindl" market: organic food and drinks, and even a second-hand booth, show that Christmas markets and sustainability go together. The cultural association Donaustadt provides a diverse program of entertainment.

Magic of Advent in the Klimt Villa

November 27, December 4, 11 and 18, 2022
Sundays, 10.00 am – 8.00 pm

The Magic of Advent in the form of a small but mighty art market is held in the salon of the Klimt Villa. Christmas snacks and drinks are also provided. The admission fee to the Advent market also includes a visit to the last studio of Gustav Klimt and the special exhibition "Klimt lost". Tours are held at 11.00 am, 2.00 pm, and 4.00 pm. At 5.00 pm, there's live music by Sonic Picknick.

Advent at Liechtenstein Garden Palace

November 18 – December 23, 2022
Mo-Th 2.00 pm – 9.00 pm; Fr-Su and hols. 11.00 am – 9.00 pm

Liechtenstein Garden Palace is one of the city's under-appreciated magnificent buildings. This year, for the second time, a reflective Advent market is being held in its garden. Adults drink punch, eat cookies, and buy Christmas gifts. The highlight for the children is the historic carousel.

Winter magic in the Bohemian Prater

December 2 - December 18, 2022
Fr-Su 14.00 pm - 20.00 pm

The winter break in the Bohemian Prater is interrupted by the Winter Magic. There will be homemade punch, lots of Christmas music and various market stalls - in addition, some rides will be open, such as the children's carousel, the Disco Autodrom, the giant slide or the Caribbean Twister. So with free admission, young and old get their money's worth.

Medieval Advent market in front of the Museum of Military History

December 1 – 4, 2022
Th 1.00 pm – 10.00 pm, Fr and Sa 9.00 am – 10.00 pm, Su 9.00 am – 8.00 pm

A slightly different kind of Christmas market is held in front of the Museum of Military History. On the first weekend in December, artisans, traders, medieval food and drinks, market criers, jugglers, and fencing displays draw visitors to the medieval Advent market. There's also a big children's program, musical entertainment, and a spectacular fire show. An extraordinary Christmas experience with free admission.

Christmas in the Woods in the Prater

November 17 – December 31, 2022
Tu-Su 4.00 pm – 9.00 pm; December 24 – 27 closed

In the heart of the Prater, you can escape the pre-Christmas stress for a while. The little Christmas market "Weihnacht im Wald" (Christmas in the Woods) provides a family-friendly atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In little wooden chalets, exhibitors from across Austria presented select handicrafts, decorative items, and, of course, food and punch. An advance booking online is required
