Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäcker

Gerstner has stood for culinary excellence since 1847. The Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäckerei at Kärntner Strasse 51 is a leading address for the sweet-toothed and gourmands. The fascinating shop on the ground floor offers the hand-made sweet delicacies from the Gerstner patisserie and confectionery, such as cakes, cupcakes, petits fours, truffles, confectionery, pralines and chocolate bars. Another highlight is the magical Sisi cake. The offering is supplemented with sparkling wine from the Schlumberger Sparkling Wine Cellars.

View of the Opera House

In the bar on the first floor, sweet and piquant treats from Gerstner can be enjoyed over a glass of sparkling wine in a living room atmosphere. The unique view of the Vienna State Opera can be enjoyed from the cozy velvet-upholstered sofas and small booths.

On the second floor, guests are pampered in the café-restaurant in the best of Viennese tradition. Here, the Gerstner chefs serve sweet delicacies, fresh strudel classics and piquant treats from Viennese cuisine, such as the popular pan-friend Wiener schnitzel. The glittering ambience surprises with gold-trimmed wood paneling, historic ceiling paintings and grand fireplaces. In summer, guests can also look forward to enjoying a lovely garden in the inner courtyard with palms, ice cream creations, hand-made pastries and sparkling wines.
