Exotic citrus fruit

Garden atmosphere in Vienna

Every year, garden and plant lovers head for the rarities market in the Botanical Garden (April 15 to 17, 2016). The market offers plants not found at wholesale centers and garden centers. The motto is: stroll, enjoy, exchange views, buy.

Design and nature meet at the Salon Jardin - Vienna's special kind of garden salon. On May 20 to 22, 2016 many exhibitors present the trends of this year's gardening season in the wonderful park of Hetzendorf Palace. A mix of plants, furniture and accessories invites you to have a stroll and a picnic.

Did you know that the sonorous terms "Landsknechtshosen" and "Buddha's Hands" describe special citrus fruits?

Lovers of exotic fruits have come to the right place in the historic ambience of the Schönbrunn Orangery for the 16. Vienna Citrus Days. Amongst other things, this traditional information and sales exhibition from 13 to 16 May, 2016 will present the historic collection of the Bundesgärten. Some of the fragrant plants are over 180 years old! The program also includes tastings of culinary specialties, as well as guided tours and lectures. Collectors can buy very special rarities here.
