Art and Nature

Our relationship to nature seems irritated. We may understand that we are part of it and know it is endangered. And yet we knowingly damage it. This ambivalence is reflected in quite a few current artistic works. The works presented in the exhibition "Visions of Nature" range from philosophical-conceptual approaches through to new romanticisms.

The works by artists such as Darren Almond, Andreas Gursky, Jaakko Kahilaniemi, Claudia Märzendorfer, Myoung Ho Lee or Anna Reivilä reflect the threat to our natural living conditions, question the unlimited availability of nature, and illustrate an increasingly different perception of our habitat.
