ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways)

Sparschiene
The tickets issued by Sparschiene Österreich and Sparschiene Europa are a particularly affordable way to travel. As these tickets are released in blocks, they should be booked as early as possible (up to six months before departure).

Night train
Whether in a standard seat, couchette or sleeper carriage, passengers will arrive at their destination rested and refreshed. Sparschiene tickets can also be booked on selected night trains. Families (two adults with a maximum of four children under 15 years of age) should book early to enjoy the convenience of their own compartment for a special price.

Car and motorcycle transport
Motor vehicles can also be transported on the following night train routes:

  • Vienna - Graz - Villach - Feldkirch
  • Vienna - Hamburg, Düsseldorf
  • Vienna - Laverno, Verona

Note: A passenger ticket must be purchased for each passenger in the vehicle in addition to the ticket for the vehicle itself.

Tickets and information:

  • Online at oebb.at
  • By telephone 05-1717 (from outside Austria: +43-5-1717)
