EuroPride events

What would EuroPride be without a host of events that are not only fun but also address and advocate the equality of LGBT people with the rest of the population? EuroPride 2019 in Vienna will be no different. A varied program is guaranteed in the two weeks between June 1 and 16, 2019.

EuroPride events 2019 (in chronological order):

EuroPride Fest - Andersrum in Mariahilf (June 1, 2019)
The official opening of EuroPride 2019 takes place on June 1 at the EuroPride Street Party - Andersrum in Mariahilf. Numerous associations will present themselves there, with entertainment provided by a colorful stage program.

EuroPride Movie Night at the Gartenbaukino (June 4, 2019)
Two films dealing with LGBT themes are on the program this evening at the legendary Gartenbaukino right on the Ringstrasse boulevard.

Life Ball (June 8, 2019)
To mark 50 years of Stonewall, the Life Ball cooperates with EuroPride in 2019. The big HIV/AIDS charity event is being held for the 26th time in 2019. As always, the grand opening takes place on City Hall Square. The party continues afterwards in Vienna City Hall.

EuroPride Day at Schönbrunn Zoo (June 9, 2019)
For one whole day, the world's oldest Zoo still in existence becomes a place of acceptance and equality. Rainbow families in particular have the opportunity to meet lemurs, leopards, pandas and more on this day.

Strandbar Herrmann on the Danube Canal becomes a summery Pride location for a whole day. Loungers and cool drinks offer relaxation. Visitors can look forward to yoga, Kasperl theater, brunch and cool DJs.

There will also be practical workshops as way of supporting the community with its daily work. The first two days of the conference (June 12+13) will be held in the Volkshalle in Vienna City Hall. For the 23rd time, around 100 groups will proceed around Vienna's Ringstrasse boulevard for acceptance, respect and equal rights - against the flow of traffic, in other words "andersrum" (the other way round). The parade starts at 12.00 noon between City Hall and the Burgtheater.
