Beauty with a concept
Concept stores are shops that offer all sorts of goods that you wouldn't normally expect to find under one roof at the same time – such as furniture, clothing and books. A similar concept is offered by Vienna's new and trendy beauty salons. Here as well, visitors can look forward to far more than just a manicure, pedicure or new haircut.
In safe hands
Hey, babe? Customers at Vienna's innovative nail salon Babetown not only enjoy beauty treatments but can also buy cosmetics, house rosé wine or a fresh Poké Bowl in the integrated mini-shop. The ambience exudes a beach feeling, but the smart "surroundings" don't detract from what matters: the desire to have a cared-for exterior. Classic shellac or vegan and contaminant-free varnishes in every color are available to choose from for the manicures or pedicures. The extraordinary offering is rounded of by cool hoodies with Babe logo and sustainable fabric bags with cheeky sayings on them.
Design is found not only on the nails here: the founders and owners Julia Fodor and Katharina Hingsammer, who are among the best-known faces of the domestic fashion blogger scene, also inspire with their outfits. Just as stylish is the interior with Travertine marble from Austria and looming pampas grass. The design concept was developed together with the design bureau Atelier Karasinski and is a real eye-catcher.
More than great cuts
The Gepp brothers know what it's like to keep having to spell out their family name. To avoid any misunderstandings, the three brothers named their coiffeur-café-patisserie in the same way that their name would be spelled out over the phone using the German spelling alphabet: Gustav Emil Paula Paula.
The salon is perfect for people short on time: while Florian Gepp styles hair, Fabian "styles" traditional pastries and cakes for the café in the salon's own show bakery. Surfing or working over WiFi shortens waiting times and a quick bit of after-work shopping can also be done – milk, bread, and wine can be bought in the integrated minimart. The brothers also pay attention to avoiding as much waste as possible, to offering vegan and regional products in their range, and to dealing consciously with food and nature.
Franz-Ferdinand Gepp looks after the café. To ensure the look here is perfect too, classic coffee house chairs and elegant marble tables are a must – Thonet chairs and the Viennese coffee house simply belong together.
The design bureau Atelier Karasinski also had a finger in the pie here: in addition to the interior, the specially designed styling furniture also promises comfortable and smart styling.
Reservations for a visit to the café-patisserie or the hair stylist can be made right now by phone or by sending an email to email@example.com.
