EHF EURO 2020

What the Vienna State Opera is for the Opera Ball, the Wiener Stadthalle is for handball in January. 2020 will be welcomed in Vienna in especially sporty style as the city plays host to the preliminary and main round games of the Austria group (Group B) of EHF EURO 2020.

For the first time in history, the European Handball Championship will be held in three countries. The best men's teams will play for victory in Austria, Sweden and Norway. The next sensation: the finale, which will be held in Sweden, lasts three days. In Austria, two preliminary round groups and one main round group will play their games at the Wiener Stadthalle and at the Stadthalle Graz.

An international media response is expected in over 175 countries with a global TV audience of over 1.6 billion viewers.

In the EM qualification rounds in the 2018/19 season, a total of 24 nations qualified for the final round. Among them the host countries Sweden, Norway and Austria, as well as Germany, Spain, Poland and many others.
