Gegenbauer Vinegar Brewery

The brewery was established in 1929 by Ignaz Gegenbauer, whose main business back in those days was the manufacture of pickled preserves such as sauerkraut, gherkins and pickled vegetables. Today the old cellar vaults are used exclusively to produce high-quality vinegar products such as fruit, wine, balsamic and drinking vinegars.

Tours explain how vinegar is made, where it matures and how it can be used to refine everyday dishes. Visitors are also given samples and a small bottle of wine.

Guided Tours

For groups between 15 and 20 persons (larger groups are split)
Duration 1½-2 hours, in German and English
Tours dates are announced on the website and are also possible by individual arrangement
