Austria’s tallest building is always an experience for the whole family.
If you want to take your little ones up high, then visit the Danube Tower in Vienna for a view of the city and its surroundings from the 150 meter-high viewing terrace. The glazed terrace also lets you enjoy the view of Vienna in bad weather.
You can ride around the 600,000 m2 Danube Park on board the quaint Danube Park railway, alight at one of the playgrounds or picnic on the Papstwiese at the foot of the Danube Tower. There are also lots of opportunities for sporting activities, such as free tennis courts, a mini-golf course or chess.
A tip for summer: a visit to the nearby Danube Island or cooling down in the Old Danube. Opposite the Danube Park are the beach pool and the Bundesbad Alte Donau swimming pool. Swimming, splashing and romping around can also be enjoyed further along at the Angelibad beach, which has lots of things for kids to do, as well as at the Gänsehäufel beach pool. Numerous rowing, electrical and pedal boat rental stations await visitors.
