Each year, the Festival of Joy is dedicated to a specific theme. In 2026, the main theme will be “Perpetrators of National Socialism.” As every year, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra will support the Festival of Joy with a special music program, which will once again conclude with Ludwig van Beethoven's “Ode to Joy.”
The highlight will be a speech by contemporary witness Lucy Waldstein.
The concert will take place whatever the weather.
