Herbert Pixner Projekt

During his student years, he alternated creative breaks working as a dairyman in the Alps with stints as a bar musician in the U.S.: Seemingly contradictory elements come together effortlessly in Herbert Pixner’s life and in his music. In 2005, he founded the Herbert Pixner Project with other brilliant musicians. For twenty years now, they have been creating together “the finest, handcrafted music from the Alps,” full of energy and enriched with elements of flamenco, gypsy jazz, blues, rock, and world music.
