International Youth Music Festival
The Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival (SCL Festival) is Europe’s largest festival for young orchestras, choirs, and bands from around the world. This year, the SCL Festival once again invites you to experience young musical talent on Vienna’s stages.
Among the festival’s special highlights are certainly the opening concert on July 3 at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the evening concert on July 5 at the Vienna Musikverein, and the Winners’ Gala Concert on July 7 at the Vienna Konzerthaus.
In addition, music lovers can look forward to a diverse program featuring nearly 80 concerts in Vienna and the surrounding area. Classical music, world music, and works from the home countries of the 39 participating ensembles make the festival a musical journey around the globe. The SCL Festival is also an experience that touches the heart and inspires the soul. It is an opportunity to experience the world through the universal language of music.

Concerts are planned at the NEST – Neue Staatsoper im Künstlerhaus, a concert in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein, a concert series at MuTh, the concert hall of the Vienna Boys’ Choir, concerts at the RadioKulturhaus, and the grand finale concert at the Vienna Konzerthaus.
