The club and showcase festival at various venues in Vienna.

Waves is designed as both a club and a showcase festival. As a showcase festival, its primary aim is to offer bands and musicians who are still relatively unknown or known mainly within their region the opportunity to reach a larger audience and gain recognition beyond genre and national boundaries. 
From October 1 to 3, 2026, the lineup will feature primarily bands that have international potential but have not yet achieved widespread recognition on their own. In addition to a few major acts, the focus will be on discovering and promoting new acts at venues around Vienna’s Gürtel.
