Zeit für Kost: The well-dressed table

Continuing the series developed in cooperation with POPCHOP in 2024, this year’s presentation consists of five events on one day per month over five months, in a format that places design, cuisine, and art in a context appealing to all of our senses. Each of the five events focuses on a specially curated well-dressed table. The curators have created unique settings for their tables using ceramics, glass, textiles, flower arrangements, and objects from a wide range of sources. Historical allusions stand shoulder-to-shoulder with contemporary design, each table forming an atmospheric ensemble that combines collage, still-life, and tableau vivant.

The culinary offerings at each event complement the table designs: for each day a food pop-up has been invited to collaborate on a special menu that echoes, develops, and translates into culinary terms the materials, colors, textures, and moods of that day’s table. The series is accompanied by a program of music, readings, and performances that harmonize with each day’s event without taking center stage.
