Foto Arsenal Wien is the new center for photographic images and lens-based media in Austria. Initiated by the City of Vienna in the fall of 2022, the institution presents and communicates contemporary photography in all forms of appearance and use. Its temporary location at MuseumsQuartier Wien will be replaced at the end of 2024 by its own exhibition hall at the Arsenal grounds near the main train station. As a platform, Foto Arsenal Wien also organizes Foto Wien - Austria's largest biennial festival for photography, which takes place as part of the European Month of Photography (EMOP).
