Nathaniel Drew in Vienna

You are here:

YouTube star Nathaniel Drew in Vienna

The Paris-based American now reaches an audience of millions with his videos on YouTube. He came to Vienna to film his current story about how to handle personal crises and setbacks. Since Nathaniel loves to meet new people and hear new opinions and philosophies of life on his travels, Vienna was the perfect place: A Viennese coffee house and Viennese heuriger are ideal locations for this. Spontaneously, he also takes a dip in the (c)old Danube with his cameraman and new-found friends to break out of everyday life and recharge his batteries. His conclusion: this works really well in Vienna.

Nathaniel Drew in Vienna - The Secret to Thriving in Hard Times

I decided to learn from the world around me. - Nathaniel Drew

Drew is no ordinary tourist. Although Vienna has a great variety of places for sightseeing and culture (which he also shows in his film), his way of exploring the city is very social, thanks to the help of a few Viennese locals. “Mental clarity” is one of the keywords here. He is particularly captivated by Vienna’s mentality and Vienna’s lifestyle.

The successful blogger sees Vienna’s typical ambiguity and the simultaneous presence of opposites – traditional and alternative, reserved but still cosmopolitan, historic and modern – as emblematic of life and all the difficulties we encounter along our way. Vienna also presents itself as cozy and familiar: a city where you can lean back and unwind.

The museum is a place of encounter and sensory perception and offers plenty of opportunity to stimulate vistors and motivate them to interact with one another by looking at art together and then getting creative themselves.
