It's found in almost every black and white movie and always forms the melting pot of the actors: the bar with music. A permanent venue for bar music in the city is the Cascade Bar at Vienna Marriott Hotel. Every Friday and Saturday starting at 9.30 p.m.singer Caroline Kreutzberger provides bar entertainment at it's best (no live music from July to September).

The Intermezzo Bar in the Hotel InterContinental Vienna is a classical American Bar with one of the most impressive chandeliers in town. Additionally, the pianoman plays his songs (daily starting at 6 pm). 

Close to St. Stephen's Cathedral you can find the American Bar Nightfly's. Every thursday (exc. during the summer break) they celebrate "Sparkling Piano Nights". The club offers more than 250 of the very best cocktails along with finest whisk(e)ys, rums and cigars selected from all around the globe.

Visit the Bonbonnière Bar, if you are looking for something unusual. Red silk tapestries, crystal and baroque angels make you feel entering a sphere of former ages - a bit strange, but full of charme. There is usually piano music in the evenings from Tuesdays to Saturdays. The Bonbonnière Bar was and still is often a meeting place for artists and socialites, but people prefer to keep quiet about that: what happens in the Bonbonnière stays in the Bonbonnière...

The Viennese Bar Pianists are professional musicians who, in addition to their engagement at the Vienna State Opera, teaching at the Vienna Boys' Choir or another main profession, play background music in the bars of Vienna - in other words: bar piano for the guests. They play jazz standards like "As Time goes By" from the famous movie "Casablanca", evergreens like "Love me Tender" by Elvis Presley, classic pieces like "Hungarian Dance No. 5" by Brahms or well-known Viennese songs ("Wienerlied"), but also their own compositions.
