Winter in the MuseumsQuartier

Winter fun at the MQ

The MuseumsQuartier (MQ) in Vienna is a popular meeting place in both summer and winter. Even though the customary winter at the MQ can’t take place as usual this year due to landscaping work in the courtyard, the local cafés and bars invite you to their outdoor seating areas for punch and mulled wine. Special Christmas decorations in the outdoor seating areas will still imbue the area with holiday spirit.

And action!

The popular two-lane ice stock rink will be set up on the MuseumsQuartier forecourt this year (Mon – Fri 4 p.m. – 10 p.m., Sat, Sun and public holidays 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.). Remote-controlled cars race around in the pond of the MuseumsQuartier in the "Winter Race" (Sa, Su & hols. 2.00 pm - 6.00 pm). Light and installation artist Martin Markeli will bring the reflection pool to life.
