The idyllically illuminated facade of City Hall forms the fairytale backdrop for Vienna Ice World. An 9,500 m² ice landscape guarantees skating fans young and old entertaining times on the ice in Vienna. A special experience is the Sky Rink, a skating terrace on the first floor with a 110 meter-long ramp. Where else gives you the possibility to go skating over the ice on two levels? Both families and sporty visitors who are seeking action on the ice will get their money's worth here. Every day from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm, fantastically wild or sweepingly elegant loops can be turned to popular music hits and to some sounds of the waltz at the Vienna Ice World.

Ice path through City Hall Park

Winding through the romantically illuminated City Hall Park is a magical ice path that thrills beginners and professionals alike with its countless routes. There are 2,000 pairs of ice skates (all pre-heated with warm air) for rent on site. Lockers are available for any items of clothing or shoes that you don’t need while skating. If you'd like to enjoy a break from the ice skating, you can top up on energy with hot drinks and snacks. Restaurateurs pamper guests with delicacies made from regional and organic ingredients at various outdoor booths and in the popular chalet with terrace.

For the very young ice skaters, there is a free practice area, Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. From 5pm, this turns into eight curling (Eisstockschießen) rinks, where enthusiastic curlers can show their skills.
