Public Screenings for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Vienna

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to become one of the highlights of this summer. Whether you are a dedicated football fan or simply looking to enjoy the matches together with friends, public viewing at some of Vienna’s coolest locations offers the perfect opportunity to experience the excitement together.

Good to know: The 2026 World Cup presents a challenge for fans in Austria and across Europe, as many matches will kick off in the middle of the night or in the early morning due to the time difference. Austria’s group-stage matches against Jordan and Algeria in particular will take place at unusual hours – which also affects public viewing schedules across Vienna.

Public Viewing at Extraordinary Locations

  • Donauturm

During the 2026 World Cup, the Immersive Center at Donauturm will become one of Vienna’s most extraordinary public-viewing venues. Selected matches will be shown on multiple giant screens, either outdoors or inside the air-conditioned indoor area. Modern projection technology, professional sound systems and a true stadium atmosphere create a unique football experience. In addition to all Austria matches, selected group-stage games and knockout-round matches will also be shown. Snacks, hot food and drinks complete the offering, with all-you-can-eat and drink specials available during selected matches.
