Schloss Hof
Schloss Hof Estate
Schloss Hof Estate, the former imperial country residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy and Maria Theresa is over 70 hectares in area, making it Austria's largest palace complex in the countryside. The imperial dream home of the former owners can be marveled at in the grand palace. Outside, there are magnificent Baroque gardens with splendid fountains and sculptures. The imperial castle sits on an idyllic estate containing exciting adventure walkways, varied themed gardens and lots of rare breed pets, as well as an adventure playground and a leisure park for children and families with a new ball track. From mid-March 2023, a balance bike course for children will provide even more action. With its exhibitions and numerous events for the whole family, Schloss Hof is always worth a visit.
The Easter and Spring Market starts on 11 March. More info

Schloss Niederweiden
Schloss Niederweiden belongs to the Schloss Hof Estate. The Baroque architectural jewel was built in 1693 by Johann Bernhard Fischer of Erlach and bought in 1726 by Prince Eugene of Savoy, who used it as a venue for lavish hunting parties. With the elegance of a French pleasure château and the charm of a stately northern Italian villa, it radiates a very special appeal. You can also enjoy the Baroque splendor of a hearty venison dish in the attached game kitchen. In 2023, the idyllic hunting lodge shows kitchen secrets behind the scenes as part of the special exhibition "Treasures of the Imperial Table". The diverse tasks involved in running the estate and the unbelievable effort and expense that went into the opulent, ceremonial court is excitingly staged here.
