Spelunke

Those who think of a gloomy, dilapidated harbor bar when they think of a 'spelunke' will be convinced otherwise in the restaurant on the Danube Canal. Because it doesn't get any more stylish than this. Green leather benches, high-quality dining tables made from wood, and designer lamps on the ceiling create a polished ambience. A graffiti artist has designed a whole wall in the Spelunke that makes references to the graffiti scene on the adjacent Danube Canal. The image becomes a moving picture in the evening with the use of projections.

The waterfront location is also the inspiration for the Spelunke’s cuisine. The menu includes grilled fish (known as Steckerlfisch), octopus and smoked fish dishes. The meat offerings straight from the grill are also delicious. Another special tip are the seven dishes based on recipes from seven well-known Viennese restaurants. This is how friendship works in the restaurant business. Drinks after the meal are best enjoyed at the great bar, which is a central eye-catcher in the heart of the establishment.
