Episode 1: The Ultimate Ice Cream Tour

In this episode, Lukas Mraz decides it’s ice cream tim and sets off on a tour of three iconic Viennese ice cream parlors. With around 150 ice cream shops, Vienna boasts the highest concentration of ice cream parlors in all of Europe. Lukas Mraz embarks on a city-wide ice cream tour, starting at Tichy Eissalon on Reumannplatz, where he enjoys a variety of desserts – including the famous apricot dumpling ice cream. He then stops by Gelato Carlo in Josefstadt to sample their innovative flavors before heading to Eissalon Tuchlauben in the city center. But one man cannot handle so many delicious treats alone! Lukas has no other choice but to enlist his mom for help... And, just like a true insider, she immediately orders the nougat ice cream from the secret drawer at Eissalon Tuchlauben.

Episode 2: No Leftovers with special guest Thomas Straker

In this episode, Lukas Mraz welcomes a very special guest: Thomas Straker. Straker is a British celebrity chef who runs his own London restaurant, Straker’s, and entertains millions of fans worldwide on TikTok with his popular “All Things Butter” videos. This episode is all about appreciating the whole animal, embracing a sustainable kitchen philosophy, and consciously opting for regional ingredients. Host and Michelin-starred chef Lukas Mraz teams up with special guest Thomas Straker to explore Viennese cuisine and learn more about Vienna's unique take on concepts like nose-to-tail (keyword: Viennese offal cuisine) and farm-to-table cooking. Heads up – this episode kicks off at a butcher. The journey continues at the Meinklang Hofladen, where dishes are prepared using ingredients sourced directly from their own land. From there, we explore XO Beef’s decision to work with meat from retired dairy cows, take a glimpse into the mysterious alchemical kitchen of Cucina Alchimia, and finally arrive at Gasthaus Stern – where offal cuisine is elevated to an entirely new level.

Episode 3: Wine not Vienna

When chef Lukas Mraz goes on a wine tour through Vienna, you can be sure it won’t be your average wine tour. Joining him this time is Australian sommelier Jessica Tan, co-founder of the Berlin restaurant Stoke. A Spritzer is a must at every venue they stop off at. And never, ever call it a ‘Schorle’! Lukas and Jessica kick off their tour at Biohof N°5 in Stammersdorf, a wine-growing area on the outskirts of Vienna. “Is this still Vienna?” Jessica Tan asks. Yes – this is Vienna too. Biohof N°5 is a farm with a traditional wine tavern, where adorable Mangalitza pigs are raised (even if Lukas thinks they look like Gremlins), chickens roam around and grapes are grown as well. Of course, everything is organic, as the ‘Bio’ in the name suggests. At the Buschenschank in Residence, they are welcomed by Jutta and Marco Kalchbrenner. The winemaker runs a slightly different kind of wine tavern. Alongside her own wines, you’ll find culinary specialties like ox tongue on the menu. After a proper thunderstorm, the next stop is the Hans & Fritz wine tavern. It’s a collaborative project between well-known Viennese winemaker Fritz Wieninger and Michelin-starred chef Juan Amador. That means you might even get to enjoy beef tartare or a classic cold cuts platter courtesy of a star chef. The grand finale of this episode: a visit to a typical Viennese wine house: Weinhaus Pfandler “Zu den Seligen Affen”.
