Vienna souvenirs without the kitsch

The shops of Hamtil & Söhne focus on high-quality design and souvenirs with no reference at all to snow globes, Sisi or Mozart. Many products come from Vienna, although selected design classics from elsewhere in Austria and the rest of the world can also be purchased. The pretty wine glasses of the label Das goldene Wiener Herz (The Golden Heart of Vienna) are represented, as are the tins in the shape of a doughnut made by the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten.

Piatnik playing cards, a memory game with Viennese motifs, cookie cutters in the shape of the Giant Ferris Wheel, and Vienna clocks in a can are also on the program. Also worth noting: the exquisite Wien Gin as well as decorative postcards depicting the Wiener Werkstätte and historic photos of the city. There are also fun hand-made products such as the three breading plates for Wiener Schnitzel (labeled for flour, eggs and crumbs). As the shopkeepers also own a publishing company, Hamtil & Söhne also has any number of books on Vienna published by Metroverlag.

The selection also includes high-quality home accessories, jewelry, watches, and handbags. And a number of souvenirs inspired by Sigmund Freud.
