Patroness Veronika Doppler has given the beautiful restaurant at the Burgtheater the theme “Schank & Tafel”, which roughly translates to “Wining & Dining”. The Schank, in the front area, offers Viennese specialties in a relaxed setting, no reservation required. The Tafel in the Marble Hall is the heart of the restaurant, offering a breathtaking setting and Viennese cuisine at an award-winning, top-tier standard. Beloved classics meet newly interpreted dishes here, from Grammelknödel, Krautwickel, and Wiener Backfleisch to Christian Domschitz’s legendary Hummerkrautfleisch.
