Terms and conditions for the ESC Challenge sweepstakes
Participation
- The giveaway is being run as part of the promotional activity called ESC Challenge (see the detailed description at ivie-challenge.vienna.info) and is organized by the Vienna Tourist Board, Invalidenstraße 6, A-1030 Vienna (referred to as “VTB”).
- The giveaway is in no way connected to Apple or Google.
- All natural persons over the age of 18 who have registered through the ivie app during the competition period and have reached the required number of points are eligible to participate.
- An explanation of how to collect the points required to win the prizes can be found at ivie-challenge.vienna.info.
- The giveaway period runs from April 20 to May 31, 2026.
- The winners of the grand prize (two nights from Friday to Sunday at the Jaz in the City Wien hotel for 2 people) will be determined by a random drawing after the sweepstakes ends, which runs through May 31, 2026, inclusive.
- To take part in the prize draw for the main prize, participants must be registered in the ivie app and have achieved the full score of 30 points. The winners will be informed by email.
- To receive one of the Eurovision Song Contest hand fans, participants need at least 20 points. The Eurovision Song Contest hand fan can only be picked up in person at the Tourist Info Albertinaplatz (Albertinaplatz 1, 1010 Vienna). Participants must demonstrate their points balance in the ivie app in order to be able to collect their prize.
- Please note that 400 Eurovision Song Contest hand fans are available during the giveaway period. Once this stock is used up, no additional hand fans will be distributed.
Exclusions
- Employees of the VTB and its partner organizations, as well as their relatives and anyone living in their household, are excluded from participation.
- In the event of a breach of these conditions of participation, the VTB reserves the right to exclude any infringing individuals from the competition.
- Persons who use unauthorized aids or other means of manipulation, such as automatically generated entries, e.g. by so-called “bots”, shall also be excluded. In such instances, the VTB reserves the right to subsequently withhold prizes or to reclaim them after they have been redeemed if the participant is at fault.
Performance and processing
- Participants may only register once and therefore only one prize per participant will be awarded.
- Participants are responsible for the accuracy of the email address they provide.
- No cash payout of the grand prize or instant prize (ESC hand fan) is possible, and prizes may not be exchanged or transferred to other persons.
- The VTB reserves the right, without prior notice, to make changes or additions to the sweepstakes, or to cancel the ESC Challenge sweepstakes. This applies in particular in the event of force majeure (especially pandemics and their indirect effects) or if the competition cannot be held or continued for organizational, technical or legal reasons, provided that the VTB is not at fault.
Data protection, data processing and data transfer
- Processing of participants’ personal data in accordance with the conditions of participation is required because otherwise it is not possible to take part in the competition
- Participants’ data will be processed by the VTB for the purpose of organizing and fulfilling the competition (Art 6 Para. 1 points b, c and f GDPR).
- No data will be passed on to third parties in connection with the competition.

Liability
- The VTB shall be released from all obligations at the end of the competition period, in other words once the prizes have been awarded. The VTB shall not be liable for material defects or defects of title.
- The announcement of the winners does not constitute a guarantee.
- The VTB shall not be liable for damages that may arise due to errors, delays or interruptions in communication, malfunctions of technical systems and services, incorrect content, loss or deletion of data, viruses or in any other way during participation in the competition, unless such damages are caused intentionally or through gross negligence on the part of the VTB (its bodies or employees). The VTB’s liability for personal injury, even in the event of slight negligence or under any mandatory liability laws (product liability), shall remain unaffected.
Final provisions
- Should the conditions of participation contain invalid provisions, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions.
- There is no legal recourse to challenge the prize draw.
